Trying to determine the frequency that the Fido towers transmit on? I have seen 800/850/1900/and 2100. I understand that they may transmit on multiple ir 850/1900 but when/where the 2100 mHz frquency?

Hello Mcgyver,

The information you are looking for can be found here.

You should note that not all towers use all bands and frequencies. You can see the bands/frequencies available on your surrounding towers here.

You should also note that 2100MHz on its own (band 1) is NOT compatible. North America uses that frequency along with 1700MHz (band4). Fido/Rogers uses band 4 on its LTE network.

**edit** The LTE network is strictly for data. With the exception of voice-over-LTE (voLTE), voice calls are trasmitted via the 2G and/or '3G' networks. Unfortunately, voLTE will also unlikely work on an unlocked android device**

Hope this helps Smiley

Cheers
