Voicemail failed

I’m having trouble with voicemail on my new iPhone. The calls do not go to voicemail and callers get a busy signal after lots of rings. When I try to call voicemail by pressing and holding 1 it says ‘voicemail failed’. I cannot get through to Fido on-line or by phone. Anyone know how to fix that?

Can you please try to dial the voicemail retrieval number manually and let me know if that works? The number is +1 416 821-6549.

To program the voicemail retrieval number on your iPhone, dial *5005*86*+14168216549# on your phone.

Keep me posted if this changed anything.

Nope.  That did not work - I had to call in to have it fixed. - all good now.
