Temporary suspension fee

I wanted to suspend my plan from 4/30~8/26 because I won't be in Canada, so I contacted to the customer service and the assistant said that it was all done. She said there would be $7 suspension fee and I understood but I got an email that my monthly fee will be $67 ($60 for plan + $7 for suspension). 
Does it mean that I have to pay for $67 while not using my phone in Canada? I'm confused because that is stupid (How can it be more expensive than normally using my phone? I'm not gonna use any of the services provided by fido but pay $67? Why do people suspend their plans then?).

I hope anyone can help me as soon as possible

Welcome to the community!

 

It should be $7 plus the monthly payment for the device if you are financing one. It could be a glitch with the email but if for whatever reason you are charged both amounts just contact customer service and they will fix it.
