Fido will charge you pay per use rates based on what's included on your plan. Since most of our plans now include unlimited SMS to Canada and Internationally, you will not be charged for any texts you sent or receive while in Canada. You can confirm if this is your case by viewing your plan's details on Fido.ca or directly on the Fido mobile app.
That said, some services offered are charged using such short code SMS. You can find more information about this here, and the current short codes available here.
