Return refund cheque with additional charge!!!

I reached out to Fido customer service on January 18th to request a refund cheque for CAD 21.88 and finally received it on January 24th.

so I immediately deposited the cheque into my bank account. However, yesterday I was unexpectedly charged by Rogers for the same amount of CAD 21.88 along with an additional fee of CAD 7.

Why is that? Has anyone else encountered the same issue?

im using HSBC CA. actually i have verified this transaction with them this morning.this is charged from Rogers so my bank requested me to reach out to them first and see why there has been a charge in my account.

I have also escalated this issue to the Fido back office by creating a ticket, as their customer service team was not aware of this issue. they claim they never heard this issue before.

Anyway ,lets see how long they will take to resolve this issue...

  Firstly, you should note that this is the community forum and not intended as a venue for customer services. We would not have access to customers' accounts nor any information regarding your situation.

  From your image, it appears as the charge is a Stop Payment fee charged by your bank (see also here and here). I understand both of those additional links relate to the US, however, I included them because they provide more of an explantion. I do not know which bank you use. Here are some banks links with their associated stop payment fees: RBC, TD, ScotiaBank ...  You might consider verifying the fees from your bank. If there is an issue, you would need to contact your bank.

  If you wish to discuss the matter with Fido, you would need to contact customer service. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.
