Referral program - Bonus not given for the referrer

I referred a friend through the Refer-a-friend program a while ago and while they have received their referral bonus, I have not. It has also been more than 2-3 months since the referral, which was the original time estimate provided in the email when the referral was made.

 

Numerous calls and chats with support have led to NO resolution as none of the support staff have been equipped with the proper knowledge to help me.

This was the response I got.

I can provide the information for my account but it seems too much and unnecessary for me to be able to provide the information for my referee. All of this effort to scout through your entire account and past contracts just to find the information in order to get the referral bonus? Furthermore - referred friends may be unsavvy with technology OR I may not be a close friend in order to ask for all of this information.
 
A referral program is meant to attract customers to refer their friends, and there is really absolutely ZERO reason that Fido has to make it so unnecessarily complicated for customers like me just to chase down the referral bonus. The referral bonus should have been credited to the referrer AUTOMATICALLY without needing any of us to waste our time just trying to figure this out.

Welcome to the community!

I understand that it can be frustrating that certain validation is required in order for your promotion to be applied for this. The process should be straight forward though in certain cases we need to doublecheck that the referral was properly completed in order for us to apply the correct promo. This would depend on how the initial referrral process was started.
