I referred a friend through the Refer-a-friend program a while ago and while they have received their referral bonus, I have not. It has also been more than 2-3 months since the referral, which was the original time estimate provided in the email when the referral was made.
Numerous calls and chats with support have led to NO resolution as none of the support staff have been equipped with the proper knowledge to help me.

I understand that it can be frustrating that certain validation is required in order for your promotion to be applied for this. The process should be straight forward though in certain cases we need to doublecheck that the referral was properly completed in order for us to apply the correct promo. This would depend on how the initial referrral process was started.
