Question about Data Plan full details

Hi was interested in changing my data plan to one of the current plans and noticed this line in the full details:

9. This plan includes data at 3G speed with download and upload speeds of up to 3 Mbps. On the Fido network or in an Extended Coverage area.


Is this just general language that they apply to everything? Because I sure don't want to change my LTE plan to something that will give me 3G speeds...

I see this footnote on all plans. I asked someone today via the help chat and they said that 3G is the minimum guaranteed speed and that it can go up to LTE speeds but LTE is not guaranteed. I would like another staff member to verify this please.

  That particular detail only applies to the plans with the 9 footnote. I think it applies to the Basic plan types only. I posted a previous explanation here.

  If you are interested in one of the newer Data, Talk & Text plans, those plans would include access to LTE speeds depending on coverage.
