Porting from chatr to Fido

Hi, 

I'm having a chatr number for a long while and would like to change it to Fido and get a plan. Is it possible to do porting without changing the number? Is there a fee included with the service?

Hello @mitramat,

Porting means you will keep the same number and it can be done and there is no fee to get it done, if you already have the Fido plan then you just need to contact customer service and they will collect the necessary information from you to start the porting process.

You should also note that in order to port the number you must keep the Chatr line active until the porting process has been completed when it is done it will automatically cancel the Chatr line.

Having just ported from Chatr to Fido, please ensure that when you talk to Chatr you get them to remove auto-pay if you have enabled it or do it on-line. Also, make sure you get Chatr to tell you what your accouint number is as Fido will ask for that to initiate the port.
