I have spent hours on the phone trying to change my plan. I am no longer in the country and can't pay for the roaming charges to continue calling Fido. Is there a way to change my plan from postpaid to a 100/year prepaid plan online?
You don't need to pay roaming to contact Fido, they have many different ways to contact them even from outside of the country see here for all the different ways.
There is also a migration fee associated with migrating from post-paid to pre-paid, you can also do a temporary suspension ($7/month) of your post-paid account until you return providing you are not in a contract.
Either way, you will need to contact customer service as they are the only ones that can process these two requests.

Unfortunately, because its 2 different systems its not possible. Any company you go with would have this issue.
I would suggest calling Fido using Skype so you can avoid long-distance changes and calling Fido via Skype using the Toll free number is free.
The number is 1-888-481-FIDO (3436).
