Hi There
I wanted to ask if anybody knows if Fido offers mobile plans for international students without a Canadian Credit Card or Social Insurance number?

Hi @meghan95!
We need 2 of the following for the credit evaluation:
• Driver's Licence (preferred type of ID)
• Social Insurance Number
• Credit Card
• Banking information (bank, transit and account number).
If you don’t have a Driver's Licence, we accept one of the following:
o Provincial ID or Age of majority card
o Passport o Citizenship card
o Native status card o Senior Citizens card
o Armed Forces ID
o University student ID
o Company ID
If none of the above information is available (as an alternative to Driver's Licence) we can use a Birth Certificate.
Finally, we do offer alternatives for those temporarily in Canada, but the activation must be done in store. If you're temporarily living in Canada and you have a work or study visa then you can use the following in store to activate:
- Study permit (for opening a wireless account and internet account)
- Work permit (only for opening a wireless account)
- Foreign passport
There are some conditions though. The foreign passport must match the passport number listed on the permit, and these ID's must be used together. (they cannot be combined with any of the ID's listed above)
Hope this helps!
