Paying device bill then cancel remaining plan?

hi guys. i have a question . how do you unlock ur samsung a8 2018. is it able to unlock while im in 2yr plan? i have 2yr plan on my phone. after i pay my device balance, can i cancel the remaining plan? coz im not going to use  the phones data and simcard anymore when i go back to my country then i use our own carrier. thankyou.

Welcome to the community

Your Samsung Galaxy A8 should already be unlocked.  This means that you would be able to use it with a foreign carrier.  As for the device balance, you'll be able to pay it and cancel your line when you move back to your country.
