OH-OH! It seems your old SIM card number is not valid

Just received a new phone with a new SIM. Trying to activate the new sim from My Account I keep getting a message

"OH-OH! It seems your old SIM card number is not valid".

There are pleanty of reports that the online sim swap process is not working correctly, they are well aware of it and im sure they have a procedure in place to address it, however in the mean time you can always call up and speak to a CSR and have them do the sim swap over the phone, it literally takes a minute or two to do, its quick and easy.
