Need help with roaming charges

I do not understand how come I have over 30 dollars of extra roaming charges from last month? I was abroad last month in US but I did not use my data at all. I find this very strange, and according to the bill I used 18 minutes of data on 27.12 and that was a day when I changed my sim card to an American one. I believe there is something wrong with the bill as I am always very careful with roaming charges, please advise. My number is ***.***.****, thanks for your kind help

Welcome to the Community!

If you see that you've used 18 minutes, it refers to making a call while being outside Canada. It doesn't mean you've used data. 

Can you clarify if the charges you see on your bill are for minutes, data usage or text messages?
