Has this happened to anyone else? I'm on a byop plan, been the same since I signed up, no device contract, no overage, I didn't take off autopay, I'm not overdue on anything and I've always paid on time. I changed nothing at all. I really can't afford for my bill to go up at all

What's happened and can I get this reserved for this bill and going forward? Anyone else had this happen by legit mistake that they corrected or am I just out off luck paying more now with no notice??

Hello Advocate4Change,

Sorry to hear your bill had unexpectedly increased. However, if you were not aware, you should note these forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. We do not have access to customers' accounts so we would not know the reason for charges on your current bill. Had you viewed the details of your bill?  You should be able to view your bill via your My Account --> My Bill. From there, you should also be able to Save and/or Print a PDF copy of your bill.

That said, Fido / Rogers had recently increased the prices on some of their plans (see here). It's possible your plan was one of plans slated for the increase. If that is the case, I don't think it would get reversed and it would continue going forward.

I understand people like the notion that prices would never increase. Unfortunately, however, the cost of everything increases. At some point, those added costs would eventually increase the operating costs for companies. I don't think it's feasible for any business to not occasionally adjust their service/plan prices in response to rising operating costs.

If you wished assistance with your matter, you would need to contact customer service. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers
