Issue with making a payment

I'm a Participant Level 2

I was just attempting to refill my account balance using interac.
I tried 3 times in total, each time getting the message "Oops, an error occured"
I checked my bank, and noticed the payment was taken out 3 times, despite nothing being received on Fido's end.
I'm sure this is just a pre-auth type thing and that the money for the failed attempts will be returned?
My main concern is why the payment isn't working in the first place.
I had this same error message in the past as well, and it worked the second attempt I tried in that case (which is why I tried 3 times total just now)

Seems to be a gamble on if it will actually work

Were you able to top-up your account using another browser as FidoJulien suggested?

Usually in these situations, the money is returned within 24 to 48 hours.  As for the payment, have you tried using another browser to see if you were getting the same message?
