I just changed my plan today (Nov. 😎 and my billing cycle ends on Nov. 8 as well... is my new plan effective right away or do I have to wait till the 9th to use it?

Did you complete the plan change online on Fido.ca? If so, it should take effect immediately. You can simply log on to Fido.ca to confirm your new plan details. An email confirmation would have been sent in regard to the recent changes made.
