I switched to Rogers in Feb. But because I set up preauthorized payment method, the system has been charging me for months. What can I do?

It's happened to me too.. I was suggested by a Fido customer solutions representative to switch to Rogers internet in March 2024. I did. Then I chatted with Fido's virtual assistant named Takdeer to let Fido know that I would like to cancel the internet service and asked about billing that I had received. He sent me a return label for my modem, and told me to ignore the bill till Fido send me a credit for cancellation. I sent the modem back to Fido, and according to Canada Post it was received on Apr 5. However, May 3 I received not a credit but another bill including past due payment, in total $186.17. Why should I pay for something I have cancelled? I returned the modem already.
