How do I setup up my voicemail?

Ive got the Nokia C6 on a pre paid plan with free call display and voicemail, but the booklet it came with and the website doesnt direct me to such a solution.

Hi 

I am trying to setup my VM on Fido but it asks me to enter my 10digit mobile no to retrieve messages when i press 1 and then says thats incorrect.

 

I am from NS if there is anything different that we have to do. Please let me know as this is becoming really frustrating now.

to access your voicemail for the first time, you shold hold down the 1 key until you see something like 'dialing voicemail...' on your screen...the system will guide you through the initial setup...

Hi, I have Fido pay as you go, I try to set up my voice mail..it doens't work. Press 1 for a few second, it said voicemail number is invalid. I wonder, can I set up or not? When I call my #, it won't take me to voice mail. Help please...thank you

If you are experiencing issues with your voicemail (call not going through when holding "1"), it is most likely related to your retrieval number being incorrect. I am pressing the 1 and nothing is happening.

Also, your retrieval number link is inactive, not working.

I switched from Bell due to high cost of service but I am seeing that you get what you pay for.

 

Can someone help?

Hey everyone!

 

       Although this thread is quite old, I'd like to add a little update since I came across it. Fido`s voicemail retrieval number has changed  in the past years. If you find yourselves unable to retrieve your voicemail when you are already subscribe to a voicemail option then I recommend to follow the steps bellow to make sure that your voicemail number is correct & to set it up if needed.

 Please proceed as indicated: 

  • iPhone: Dial *5005*86*+16478396178# (may not work on all iPhone models).
    • This is for customers without IPhone Visual Voicemail
  • Android: Go to Phone Icon > option for extraSettings > Call Settings > Voicemail Settings > Voicemail Number and input +14168216549
  • Wireless Home Phone (WHP): Dial *983*866*(Voicemail Retrieval Number)# from the home phone handset.

I just bought this Samsung Galaxy Q on Monday, Jan 2, until now I can't set up my voice mail. i followed the intruction to press 1 key and hold, it show  the word, "messages", then "call ended". No There's no prompting to enter password.

I checked the posts about setting up my voice mail and held the #key down punched in the access code and recd the message that there is no more room for more messages!! Now am wondering how to delete these messages and continue using the voicemail 

will appreciate help thanks and a wonderful start  to the NewYear to everyone

You may delete messages by first listening to them and the press 77 while the message is playing or 7 if the message is over.
