Fido roaming within Canada

I will be driving through some areas on the east coast where Rogers/Fido does not have coverage (as per their coverage map).  Will my Fido phone switch over to Bell (that does have coverage) in these areas and will there be any roaming charges if so?

Hello @deleted,

Currently, all of Fido's plans are Canada wide so there are no roaming charges if you are in an area not covered by Rogers/Fido but is covered by another network then your device can switch over to the extended network and will be able to use your services without issues, see here for more information regarding the extended coverage.

I get charged 12-24 dollars every month for roaming even when I didn't leave canada. My partner gets the same amount so they're practically robbing us 50 dollars every month with this.

Hey @Ayafdez

You're only charged for Fido Roam if you use your phone while abroad.

If you were charged for roaming and never left Canada, please follow this link to speak to a representative.
