The Fido Dollars was a reward program which was discontinued in 2016. However, due to the way the program was phased out, people who were with contract on the program end date were able collect until the end of their term and redeem their Fido Dollars up until July 2018 (see here).
Signing a contract two years ago would have been after the program was discontinued, which is why it was not mentioned to yourself.
