Delayed texts

Texts are delayed by hours.

Rebooted & deleted messages.

Still having issue.

Assume its Android text message program

Samsung S10 Plus (Approx 3 months)

I am aware of at least 2 numbers that are delayed - An important one is my son.

We've both cleared messages, powered off phone etc

Apparently not.

Seemed to be OK for a couple of days.

Received text from my son this morning around 3 am that was sent around 5 pm.

This seems common, receiving texts around 3 am??

Hi @LAX527, 

Are the two numbers in question with Fido or a different carrier? Can you try sending yourself a text message and see if it's delayed? 

It'd also be a good idea to test your sim out in a different phone to further isolate the issue. A factory reset of your current device might resolve the issue if it turns out the phone has a problem.

I have no issues in sending.

Meesages appear to go when sent, delay is in receiving.

One number in particular seems to come in around 3 am in the morning.

Anotehr which I require for 2 factor authentication are delayed by up to an hour

We understand you have no issue sending the message, but if you send yourself a message, do you receive it right away or is there a day for that too?

I'm sorry to read that your text messages are being delayed.

To get to the bottom of this, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

1. Are you using regular text messages or another service like iMessage or a messaging app? 

2. Which phone model are you using? 

3. Does this happen with all the phone numbers you text?
