Charge 1 dollar after change pre-authorized credit card information online

Hi,

 

After changing my pre-authorized payment information on Fido website, my credit carts was charged 1 $.

Then I call to Fido support, they said it's not from Fido side.

The Bank told me that Fido or Rogers(parent of Fido) did that automatically.

 

I am so frastrating, no one can help me and explain this is fraud or real charge.

Couldn't find details anywhere about this on the Fido website itself.

I'll make sure to keep an eye that it comes off.

  Welcome to the community!

 

  That charge is neither a fraud nor a real charge. It is a temporary pre-authrorisation to validate that the credit card details are correct. You are not actually charged the $1 fee and the pre-auth is usually automatically removed within 5 days. You can find more information here.

It has been 6 days and the 1$ charge still appears on my credit card

  Is that charge still on your credit card? Those charges are usually removed within 5 days. There might be slight delays if a weekend was involved. If the charge is present for an extended period, you might consider contacting your credit card company to determine why the charges are still pending.
