Can I keep the same phone number if I buy a new phone from Wireless Wave?

My current phone is ore than 3 years old and isn't working. I'm a senior with limited tech knowledge. I will be buying a new phone from Wireless Wave (because they will help set up my voice mail etc.) but I want to keep the same phone number. Should I delete my account?

  Welcome to the community!

  Sorry to hear your old phone no longer works. Do you intend on keeping your services with Fido? I understand wanting to get your new phone from Wireless Wave. They are a third-party reseller for services. If you wanted to keep your services with Fido, they would remove the SIM card from your old phone and use it in your new phone. That SIM card would identfy the new phone with your current phone number and account, if that is what you wanted.

  On the other hand, if you wanted to use services from another provider, they could request the your number ported to the other provider.
