Billing Mistake, please help

Good morning,
I write because I have a problem a year ago with a Fido account.
It turns out I’m being charged an account I never use because my cell phone was blocked from my home country, so I was banned from using this company’s SIM, this contract was instantly cancelled by the staff, but the company wants to charge me for the month without ever using their services for a second. Does anyone know what I can do?
I was told by the staff not to pay attention to the emails, but I am concerned that this will affect my next requests to the federal government.
