Hi all,I received a promotional SMS from FIDO stating that I have 1000 free international calling minutes. I contacted customer service (CC) to verify if this was legitimate. The representative confirmed its legitimacy and then proceeded to promote a $45 plan with extra gigabytes and other features. They promote stuff, and I ended up falling for the trap.I informed them that I was satisfied with my current plan and requested only the activation of the international plan. Despite this, they activated the $45 plan and added the free promotion, claiming it was done. I was puzzled and informed them that I never agreed to the plan upgrade. The representative assured me that they would cancel the activation, but I did not receive any email confirming the cancellation.Three days later, I contacted another agent who informed me that they couldn't do anything about it because the system wouldn't allow it. This customer service experience is frustrating. They now expect me to visit a local store to resolve the issue, which seems unreasonable since they activated the plan via chat without my consent and are unable to cancel it themselves.
