Got my wife on my same acct my voicemail works but not hers,is saying her number is not valid? Her plan also includes voice mail,I've followed all the procedures :press 1 and blah blah nothing happens,still telling me her number isn't valid? Don't tell is 1 voicemail for 2 number on the same acct? 

Anybody has this issue? 

Called customer service: couldn't help telling me go back to fido store ,went there they tell me call customer service? 

Funny eh? 

People at store may me feel like it was my fault and I'm doing something wrong not willing to help, very poor customer service,I've switched from another carrier thinking this was better,2 days with this service already thinking about leaving them....very sad.

After much digging, I found the solution. If after following the instructions and it still says invalid number after pressing your 10 digit number and the pound key, go to VIEW USAGE AND MANAGE > BROWSE ADD ONS > Add the "English Voicemail" addon for $0. Wait for a few hours and then try calling the voicemail number again. Now you can setup your voicemail and pin. It worked for me.

Same thing happened to me, I just switch to Fido expecting I will get a good service. I'm an IT guy so I'm sure I followed the steps precisely and correctly and still saying that my number is invalid and cannot activate my voicemail. I'll give it a week otherwise I'll switch back to my previous provider. This "voicemail" is a basic phone service and should not be a pain in the **bleep** to set up but Fido make it a very unplease experience. What gives???!!!

  Welcome to the community!


  Sorry to hear your wife is having issues with her voicemail. I understand you followed the procedures by pressing 1 etc. However, to clarify, was her phone purchased from Fido? Pressing 1 only dials the preset voicemail phone number in the phone. If her device was not from Fido, the voicemail number already preset in the phone might not be correct. You can view how to change the voicemail access number here. Note that the voicemail access number is not her phone number.


  Entering the Fido voicemail number should allow her to press 1 to set-up and access her voicemail.
