hello

 

i spoke to a rep a few days ago about the new promotion that they have in stores right now, they told me it was only for new customers, and that i should cancel my account and sign up another person that lives at home,i did that and have the new account set up and my internet account closed, the rep at the store gave us the black modem CGN3U, before i had the white modem CODA-4582U which i understand is the newer modem, with my account i had the 150u internet and was getting normally twice the speed at 290-300 down and 15-16 up(i check often), now with this black modem i am getting only close to 105 download at most and 15 up on 5g, i am using the same laptop, i was going to return the white modem but i wanted to know if i could have the white modem activated again and keep it,and return the black one,because it's slower, and im not getting anywhere close to the promised speed of 150

Hi @sendn,

 

From my understanding, the black modems are in fact newer than the white ones.

To do a true speed test you need to do it with your computer connected via ethernet cable and not WiFi.
