Modem isn’t connecting. I just got it tonight

I picked up my modem tonight and trying to connect it.

 

im in a serviceable area, it stays at the flashing down arrow. I’m in a walkout basement apartment with two coax outlets and both don’t seem to work

Welcome to the community! 

 

Try connecting the modem to the mainline coming from the outside.

 

Make sure the cable you are connecting the modem to is actually connected to the mainline.

 

If there are any splitters on the line try removing it. 

 

If it still will not connect try reaching out to the internet tech support at 1-888-236-FIDO (3436).
