Internet is really slow on my computer when I stream sports

I have Fido 150. This happened two nights in a row now. I tried streaming sports on my computer. It would work for a little while, but after about an hour, the internet completely stops working on my PC. No pages would load anymore, whether it's videos or doing a google search. 

however, when I try to stream those very same sports game on my cell phone, they stream fine with no issues. 

Has anyone had this issue before? I'm looking for solutions that go beyond turning the modem on and off again.

  was your device connected to Wifi or were you streaming using cellular data?

  If you were streaming on your cell phone using Wifi, then there could be something on your computer which is causing the behaviour rather than issues with your internet. If your phone wasn't connected to Wifi, had you tried to use Wifi on your phone?
