Activation pending or Rogers line not working?

Hello all,

 

Picked up my modem today from the store and was told it's plug n play.  It is now hooked up to the main coax labelled "Rogers highspeed" coming in to the house but only downstream light kept blinking.  The other light that's on is the 2.4g

 

Left if for 2 hours and still the same.  Is it pending activation or is there a switch outside the house requiring tech to check?  I'm glad i have few more days before my current internet gets terminated.

Thanks for your response.  Yes i did followed the steps.  Just got home now and still the same....only downstream is blinking.

The 2nd and 3rd light (little houses) need to be solid blue in order for your internet connection to work.
