Starting April 6th, a GPS time reset issue called GPS Week Rollover may impact the accuracy of a user’s location on select GPS-enabled devices when making a 9-1-1 call.
The vast majority of devices on the Fido network will not be impacted. However, if you're using a Doro 620 or 626 device, the accuracy of the location when making a 9-1-1 call may be impacted. The ability to make a 9-1-1 call is not impacted. We will share updates as information becomes available.
If you are using a device that was not purchased at Fido, please contact the manufacturer to learn of any GPS Week Number Rollover impacts.
Please do not make 9-1-1 calls to test accuracy of GPS location.
