I just ported my number from rogers to fido today, and the number has been sucessfully ported. there is only one problem though. the voice calls work fine, but i am unable to send and receive text messages. is there a delay in text messages when porting the number?

Coincidentally, I ported over from rogers one week ago today. I did not have any issues whatsoever. The port process for the phone number usually is near instant, but they (retailer) usually say around 2-3 hours for everything to work normally.
If you still keep having problems first thing tommorow, then call up Fido
