I stayed in Canada for a year and when my visa expired, I applied for a suspension on my cell phone. To be sure, my sister living in Canada and I checked again three times and received a response that the fee would not be charged from the next day. I returned to Korea in July. However, a letter arrived at my sister's house and it contained information asking me to pay for unused bills. Please check again and cancel as of now. I don't want to pay the amount charged. Please reply.

Fido does offer a temporary suspension for a reduced rate on eligible lines. To update, however, you should note that the suspension is now only available for a period of 1 to 6 months. It should also be noted that the monthly fee for the temporary suspension may have increased since that post. After the temporary suspension, your line would resume as normal following the suspension. Post-paid plans would continue (regardless of whether you actually use the services) until you cancel your services.
That said, it sounds like you may have wanted to cancel your services rather than suspend them.
You should note this forum is community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. We do not have access to customers' accounts nor would we be in any position to address your matter. You would need to contact customer service to cancel the line. I understand you have left Canada. They do offer a number to call from abroad. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.
Hope this helps 😀
Cheers
