I plan on purchasing either a Samsung S5 or S6 Active unlocked from the U.S but I am worried that neither phone will be compatable with the FIDO network.

Here are the network specs for:

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active SM-G870A (AT&T)

2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, 3G: HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100l, 4G: LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active SM-G890A (AT&T)

Infra: 2G GSM, 3G WCDMA, 4G LTE FDD; 2G GSM: GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900; 3G UMTS: B1(2100), B2(1900), B5(850); 4G LTE FDD : B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B17(700), B20(800), B29(700), B30(2300)

Will either one be compatable?

Hell Maveric,

  Welcome to the forums!

Judging by those specifications, both of those phones would have all of the compatible bands/frequencies for 2G, '3G', and LTE. You can verify the compatible bands/frequencies in that link @zyx posted above.

I understand there might be some confusion with the specifications for the S5 Active since the ones you posted do not include band numbers. However, GSMArena confirms the bands.

  Hope this helps Smiley

Cheers
