What is Fido WiFi?

iPhone 12 Pro. Fido is my cellular provider, but Bell supplies my Internet, Television and Home Landline. For the last few months, I am running out of Data and having to buy extra. Normally, I am at home on Bell Wifi most of the time. When I wake up my phone, I notice it says 'Fido WiFi', (see screenshot). I can't see anything in Settings that would be using Fido for Wifi when I am a Bell customer. If it is eating up my Data, I would like to turn it off. Any insight please?

Thanks

Andrew

Hello AndrexT,

As far as I am aware, that Wi-Fi notification beside the Fido symbol denotes your phone is configured for Wifi-calling (see here). It does not have anything to do with your device using mobile data.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers
