SIM not detected by iPhone xs (Indian model)

I went to buy a Fido sim for my iPhone and was surprised to see that it did not worked on my iPhone XS mobile which I took form India. I also have another phone Samsung s7 from India too but fido works in that. Both the phone's are unlocked.

The Fido sim also worked on other canadian iPhones but my iPhone seems to not read it. I tried network reset, restart sim, selecting FIDO as manual network but no luck

Since the SIM card worked in other phones the issue seems to be with the device itself. Have you contacted Apple in order for them to troubleshoot with you?​​​​​​​
