Roaming Charges

I live close to the American border and keep getting dinged with roaming charges for just coming near the border. I'm tired of this. How do I keep my phone from connecting to the American networks?

Hi @sheviperrr!

One thing you can do is set your network selection to manual. This would be in your phone settings.

Android (settings may vary depending on device/OS version:

Settings -> Connections -> Mobile networks -> Network operators --- Turn off automatic selection and select Fido.

iOS:

Settings -> Cellular -> Network selection --- turn off Automatic and select Fido.

If this doesn't work, you can contact customer service to have a roaming block added to your line. This would block roaming on all other networks.
