I got a call from suspicious number, where an offer of iPhone 16 pro max was offered with just 50 cad for 2 years contact if I switch to Rogers. Without much thinking, I provided my fido account number, address, dob to the spammer. After I realized that I am scammed and changed my fido password thru app and pin via dialing 611 but didn't receive any email notification.

So I want to report this to fido validation team and I need their help to monitor my account and if any suspicious activity like adding line, buying an iPhone etc shown , they can immediately cancel those orders. Also, if someone is calling pretending as me to reset any pin/password as they have my personal details, they should not entertain.

My phone number is : 782-882-5904 and

also advise me, what to do now. Thanks.

Hello Pramitdas2008,

  Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear you may have fallen victim to a fraudulent SCAM call. However, you should note these forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. We do not have access to customers' accounts nor would we be in any position to monitor your account activity. As well, since these forums are public, it is generally recommended to not share personal details, such as your phone numbers, in posts. Perhaps @FidoSolutions can remove the number from the post, please?

Unfortunately, there has been an increase in fraudulent activity and attempts recently. Your experience appears to mirror the experiences of some other community members (see here).

You might consider reporting your incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. In addition to reporting your incident, you might also consider following the information provided here.

You will need to contact customer service to discuss your situation. They will likely forward you to their Fraud Department. They can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.

  Hope this helps 😀

Cheers
