Phone will not receive OR send texts

I have an LG Gossip phone, as does my brother. For about six hours now, my phone has not been sending or receiving texts, although my brother's phone is working fine. I've tried taking the battery out, clearing my inbox, but nothing has worked so far. I've also called Fido, but have been unable to reach anyone. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix this problem!
