Hi,
I have got Nexus 5 recently with a new micro LTE sim card. I got this new phone because, my old nexus 4 had signal problems frequently dropping. But this is happening to newly bought Nexus 5 too. It is happening when i am in my house. Called customer care and they said there is no problem in signal strength at my place. BTW, am living in downtown Toronto.

No provider can guarantee indoor recpetions.
However, you can try following methods to get a better reception if there is an issue related:
1. Reset phone to factory setting.
2. Turn off LTE mode.
3. Ask an fido agent to do a server side reset ( resend to switch).
4. Change sim card/phone.
I suggest you try first 3 methods first, especially the 2nd.
