New LG V 20 H910

Received new unlocked LG V20 from EBay....here in Canada.

Fido sim card worked well in old Viking phone.

When I turn on new phone, I get AT&T stuff so I am assuming it is locked.

I requested unlock code but can't get it in per instructions.

All I get is....Mobile network unavailable.

Help please!  Helen

The APNs have been rechecked and at one point the MmSC proxy change was tried.

I spoke to LG Canada and did a factory reset with her.  

She also checked the IMIE.

Hey Chez!

Do you mean that you have AT&T apps on your new device? If AT&T originally sold the device, this is normal, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the device is still locked to their network. 

When you insert your Fido SIM card in the device, is the device requesting a network unlock code?

Do you mean that AT&T has already provided you the unlock code for the device?

I only get the AT&T opening banner.  It does not ask for an unlock code when I put in my working SIM Fido card.  However.....it does say Mobile Network not available.  I can put the SIM card back in my

old phone and it works.

AT&T provided me a free unlock code but ......

Have you tried performing a manual network search under your devices network settings? What happens?

Does the Fido network come up and can you select it?
