IPhone 3GS screen frozen

My iphone freezes once or twice a day when I unlock it for use. I hold down the power and home buttons for 10 seconds and it will turn off and turn on. Then it works fine. This is very irritating as it happens when I want to use the phone.

How do I fix this? I am running the latest OS.

The solution is to RESTORE  your phone in iTunes. Make sure that it's backed up first.

My phone is all good now!

Hi all,

If the issue persists after performing a restore from backup, you will need to restore the phone as new since the reason for the iPhone freezing / bugging may be caused by something downloaded to the phone. A restore as new will return the phone to factory default.

If it works after the restore as new, you can try to restore it from your backup to see if the issue is cleared, however as I mentioned, if it was caused by an app, etc., you will incur the same issue after restoring from backup.
