How to setup Voicemail on Nexus 4?

I just bought a Nexus 4 and my plan has voicemail apperantly.

According to this: http://www.fido.ca/web/content/addon/post_vm

I am supposed to press and hold 1 and then set it up through there. When I do this it says "To set up voicemail, go to Menu > Settings." in the voicemail section of settings the only setting I can change is "voicemail number". What am I supposed to put there?

Hi SupaLawlCat,

The voicemail number depends on where you are located. Click here to access a thread which lists all of the voicemail numbers. You will be looking at adding the retrieval number (be sure to enter it with +1 in front the number). 

You can try calling the voicemail retrieval numbers manually to find the correct one before storing it in your phone.

I had the same problem, but the link you posted to the thread which lists the voicemail numbers is broken. Now I know more about how to fix the problem and I may be able to find the list on my own, but if not, perhaps you know a working link?

Hey everyone! 

I just saw this and I thought I'd provide some updated information in case anyone else comes across this.

There is now only one voicemail retrieval number for all subscribers; besides those using iPhone Visual Voicemail which has its own Voicemail retrieval number. It is +1-416-821-6549.

In order to program this number in to an Android phone go to Settings > Call Settings > Voicemail Settings > Voicemail Number and input +14168216549.
