I wanted to come here and provide a quick clarification on this for you. 

The unlock process for Android phones requires a non-Fido SIM card. This means that this is not something that can be completed without a non-Fido SIM card. This is because you will only be prompted to enter the unlock code once a non-Fido SIM card has been inserted into the device. 

If you do not have one yourself, you could always borrow a friend or family member's SIM card from another provider in order to complete your unlock.
