I know this has been discussed before but...

I was looking around the fido store today and took a quick look at the Moto E5 Play. It had an app for FM radio and said to plug the headphones in. This leads me to believe the FM chip is enabled in this phone. Now I realize it's a cheaper phone and the young un's prolly would'nt buy it.

I'm just wondering if the Moto E5 Play actually has FM that does'nt require data, and if there are any other phones in the Fido line up that offers the same, at this date.

Hey @james6161

That's a good question!

While our phones don't have FM radio enabled, it's possible to download an app from your phone's app store to listen to the radio.

You can check out the list of devices that support FM radio via the nextradio app here. Smiley

Rest assured that we're always looking to offer our customers new features on their phones; Enabling FM chips in our smartphone lineup requires the support of the device manufacturers & we're working with them on any plans they have for FM radio.
