My phone was stolen and I'm hoping I can use an old flip phone I kept until I can afford another phone.

Hello @P323,

Sorry to hear your phone got stolen.

Your device must be compatible with the Fido network, which uses GSM, UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+ at 850 MHz and 1900 MHz.

To access LTE network, the phone must be compatible with:

  • 700 MHz on Band 12;
  • 1700/2100 MHz on Band 4;
  • 2600 MHz on Band 7.

The Z223 has:

WCDMA 3G / 4G
band 2 (II) / 1900 MHz
band 5 (V) / 850 MHz

GSM 2G

band 2 / 1900 MHz
band 5 / 850 MHz

It will currently work on the 2g and 3g network providing the phone is unlocked. Also, keep in mind Rogers is set to decommission the 2G network starting December 31, 2020.

At one point Rogers did also offer this phone, hopefully, you will be able to get a new phone soon.
