Battery on the Samsung Galaxy A5 is non-removable.

Forcefully removing the cover to get to the battery might void warranty.

best to goto an offical repair samsung depot (or contact samsung canada), they should be able to direct you to change the battery.

Hey @helpme-findaway,

The battery on the Galaxy A5 is indeed non-removable. Are you having issues with your phone? If the phone is under one year warranty, you can have it repaired under the manufacturer's warranty.

Thank-You, Sorry I was short tempered in my responds to your informing no access to battery.  So dumb that their is no access to the battery. My issue is that I am locked out and need to either disconect & reconect the battery or completly drain it and re-charge it before Tec support can help me. It's hard to drain the battery when I can't use it ?  had just fully charged it prior to the lock down ! The worst part is I had only recieved it from Fido that day !!

I know I'm late to reply to this question, but, next time you might want to try an hard reset: Volume up + power button instead of waiting for the battery to drain.

Hey @helpme-findaway!

Were you able to get everything sorted out?

No worries! We can definitely understand that that's not a fun situation to be in, @helpme-findaway

How were you locked out of your device? Were you successful in draining your battery?

On the bright side, sounds like the device has some pretty good battery life.
