On Fido's website it says "Devices on pre-order or backorder will have longer estimated shipping dates which will be indicated at the time of purchase." However, when I purchased an iPhone 14 thirteen days ago, I received a message that I could expect the phone to arrive within 2–5 business days. On the 5th business day, I received an email letting me know that the phone was backordered and giving me no indication of when I would be receiving my phone.
I am going travelling in two weeks and would like to have a working phone for my trip. If I had known this phone might not arrive for over a month, I would have ordered a different phone. Why does Fido not let you know immediately if the phone you are purchasing is on backorder? And why does the website promise untrue information?
Is there any way for me to know when I can expect to receive the phone I ordered?

Hey @sarah58_! I hope you're doing well. 😊
I'm sad to read that your order is now on backorder. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience!
That said, you can contact us using the methods found here for a status update for your order. We can also provide you with other phone options that may be available to ship faster.
I hope that helps!
