Dear fellow fido subcribers,

Fido charges you suspension fee for non payment and will tack on your regular monthly phone service charges even when they have suspended your phone service.

Does it even make sense?

I was on the phone with them for 2 hrs being sent back and forth from credit department to retention depart to resolve this and then noone would come on the phone after that leaving me hanging to listen to the waitng song list. I had to hang up. Will try again tomorrow. But clearly the customer service people are frustrated themselves as they can not provide any reasonable explanation.

Hey @kobrak Smiley

I understand where you're coming from!

That said, when an account is suspended due to non-payment, a block is placed on the services. Your account, phone number and SIM card are still active on the network though. This helps avoid any cancellation fees and your phone number is reserved for you.

You can however make payment arrangements in order to clear the account balance and prevent suspension and collection activity if you can’t pay your current balance in full.
