I've had many complaints lately of people calling me and not getting voice mail. I upgraded my phone last year to a Samsung 22 and never thought to check that back then. My husbands is fine and he upgraded at the same time. Last time I spoke with Fido support they missunderstood and thought it was never set up. But I cannot even access it.

Sorry to hear you are not able to access your voicemail. To clarify, do you remember setting-up your voicemail when you first activated your line? I understand you upgraded your phone last year, however, I don't think doing so should have affected your voicemail. You can view information regarding voicemail here and resetting your voicemail password here.
It's possible people are not able to leave you voicemail if your voicemail box is full. As far as I am aware, most of Fido's plans include up to 3 messages (see here). Fido does offer Voicemail Pack add-ons which includes up to 35 messages (see here).
While I don't think upgrading your phone should have affected your voicemail, there are some things which might have reset your voicemail (ie changing phone number). You should note that the forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. We would not have access to customers' accounts. If you like to verify or troubleshoot your voicemail service, you would need to contact customer service. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter.
